AI visibility for agencies
Anyone looking for an agency now asks directly: "Which digital agency in my region builds websites and runs campaigns?" The AI names three to five. If you are not among them, you are not asked – no matter how good your work is.
The ones that get named usually describe their services clearly, document their projects in plain language and publish articles a model can rely on. Award lists and directories carry a lot of weight – often more than the agency website itself.
The uncomfortable part: agencies sell visibility. When a prospect checks whether the agency itself appears in AI answers, an empty result argues against you. We have seen this repeatedly in our own measurements – excellent agencies named in not a single answer.
How customers actually ask
Question types from our own measurement series, reworded generically – company, place and product names removed.
- „Which digital agency in my region builds websites for mid-sized companies?"
- „Who can deliver brand identity and website from a single source?"
- „Which agency runs social media for B2B companies on an ongoing basis?"
- „Who does SEO for products that need explaining?"
- „Which agency knows its way around shop systems?"
- „Who develops a corporate design for a family business?"
- „Which PR agency has experience with trade media?"
- „Who handles campaign planning including media budget?"
- „Which agency works with fixed contacts instead of rotating teams?"
- „Who can look after both the website and search optimisation?"
What is usually missing
- Projects without readable substance
Case studies are often image galleries with a client logo. A model cannot tell what problem was solved. Three sentences on the situation, the approach and the result make a project citable – even without naming the client.
- Services in agency language
"Brand experience" means little to a model. Clients ask for a website, a logo, social media, a campaign. If those words are not on the page, the agency will not surface for those questions.
- No articles with a clear position
AI systems favour sources that answer a question directly. One article with a documented statement is used more often than ten in a generic advisory tone.
- No statement about size and way of working
Five people or fifty, a fixed contact, an industry focus – these are exactly the criteria a model selects on. If they appear nowhere, the agency drops out of specific questions.
How we work with you
- Where does your agency stand today?
We ask four AI systems about agencies in your field – without naming you. You see who gets named instead, and why.
- Building blocks for your site
Structured data, llms.txt, citable project descriptions. Often enough on its own, because the substance is already there.
- Rework your existing site
We translate agency language into the words clients actually use – without diluting your positioning.
- A new website
If the site no longer carries the work technically or editorially, we rebuild it for AI visibility.
- Ongoing support
Weekly measurement and follow-up. Particularly useful for agencies, because the competitive field moves quickly.
For agencies that want to offer GEO themselves
You can run the measurement for your own clients: your own account, several client brands side by side, reports under your name.
If you would rather hand over the implementation, we work in the background and you stay your client’s contact. We can work out which fits better in a call.

- We do SEO ourselves. Do we need GEO at all?
- SEO puts you in a list, GEO puts you in an answer. An AI answer names three to five providers and there is no second page. Good SEO work helps but is not enough: models weigh things differently than search engines.
- Can we offer GEO to our own clients?
- Yes. Many agencies use our measurement system themselves and deliver the reports under their own name. If you would rather hand over the implementation, we work in the background. Both are possible.
- Can we show the results to our clients?
- Yes. The report is built to hold up in a client meeting: a documented method, verifiable numbers, no judgements without a basis.
- What does it cost?
- Scope and starting point differ a lot, so we discuss the price in a first call. The GEO check beforehand is free and shows within seconds whether AI systems are allowed to read your site at all.
Regions where this sector is strong
Where do you stand at agencies?
The GEO check takes seconds and costs nothing. For the full picture we measure four AI systems against the questions above.
